2010 Training Schedule

Classes are now being scheduled for 2010. All training notices will be sent through the Berks County Chief's of Police Association, FOP Lodge 71, FOP Lodge 9, and through Crime Alert Berks. Click on the course to view the registration requirements.

Past Training

In 2008, the Forensic Services Section hosted several courses in a variety of disciplines, to enhance the officers’ abilities to manage and process crime scenes in their respective jurisdictions.

Bloodstain Pattern Analysis

{Bloodstain Pattern Analysis} The course was sponsored by the Berks County District Attorney’s Office and the University of Tennessee, in conjunction with the National forensic Science Institute. This course explored the development, history and advancement of bloodstain pattern interpretation. Participants were taught to recognize, document, collect, preserve and examine bloodstain pattern evidence. Successful graduates of this course are now eligible for admission into the International Association of Bloodstain Pattern Analysts (IABPA).
